Oxo-biodegradable plastic offering an eco-friendly alternative

Oxo-biodegradable plastic offering an eco-friendly alternative | Business Standard News.

This is a article written by a sales person trying to sell their product.  They should be ashamed with so many misleading claims in it.

Oxodegradable will only cause plastics to fragment into smaller bite sizes pieces of plastic that are then susceptible to wild life consumption.   It is a chemical reaction not a biological one.

Oxo plastics cannot be main stream recycled.   Most will not break down in a landfill or without sunlight.

Regulators should evaluate these products themselves in their expected environments before believing these kind of sales people and their exaggerated claims.
