Hume: Toronto takes step back by reversing plastic bag ban – thestar.com.

Such a regressive step by the council is causing shock amongst people concerned for the environment.    Why would the councillors cower down to a group of plastic bag makers, makers of a product that has no real use and only causes a lot of pollution?

We can hope that some one on the council wakes up with a  OMG what have we done and puts it back on the agenda.  All big cities will eventually ban or charge for plastic bags in the near future, and Toronto councillors needs a large a kick to get back on the proper road for their city.
