Waste and recycling company Viridor, a subsidiary of Pennon Group (LSE: PNN), has taken the next steps in its plans for a £200 million waste to energy facility at Oxwellmains, Scotland following the granting of planning permission by East Lothian Council for its application to normalise waste reception criteria at the consented site.
The company said that the move follows the 2010 decision by Scottish Ministers to back its plans for the 300,000 tonne facility at the long-established, rail linked Oxwellmains site
