DECC Gives 60 MW Waste to Energy CHP Plant Green Light in Cheshire – Waste Mangagement World.

The UK government has given consent to an application for the construction of a 60 MW waste to energy facility in Cheshire, by Tata Chemicals Europe (formerly Brunner Mond) and E.ON Energy from Waste.

Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) the proposed development at Lostock, Northwich, will generate enough power to supply 80,000 homes and create a total of 500 jobs during the construction period and a further 50 permanent operating posts.
