One Edmonton mom is making sure the environmental impact of those water balloons is lessened by introducing handmade reusable water balloons crafted from yarn.
Environmentalists have warned latex water balloons are harmful for the environment.
A study by the Honolulu Environmental Policy Examiner in 2010 found that latex balloons and balloon strings are ingested by marine animals and can result in their death.
