The state government in Queensland is showing it self time and time again it is willing to forgo the environment just to get a few jobs happy. This is very short term thinking of them and we all know that sooner or later a plastic bag ban will happen all across Australia. They do a lot of damage with wildlife and visual pollution and create landfill problems and they are completely unnecessary. Shoppers can get by with reusable bags for no cost. So why not do it?
