Hundreds of thousands of tonnes of rubbish otherwise heading for landfill would be used to generate enough electricity for 60,000 homes under a proposal for Kwinana.
Melbourne firm Phoenix Energy has applied to WA’s environmental watchdog for approval to build a $400 million, 60MW waste-to- energy plant in the heart of Perth’s industrial precinct
