Target to Celebrate Earth Day by Giving Away 1.5 Million Reusable Bags

Now if we can get consumers to pay attention and take 5 seconds to plan ahead to take that reusable bag to their stores, and not thinking it is ok to take disposable bags all the time. Even though some consumers think they are doing good by reusing the disposable bags as bin liners, they are not. All they are doing is making the bag last 3 days instead of 1 before they dump it to a landfill. Their plan should be to use reusable shopping bags and get landfill-biodegradable bags for their bin liners. That way there is no plastic accumulating as waste anywhere.
