Italy replicates US reusable bag challenge

The challenge is open to towns with populations of between 8,000 and 16,000 inhabitants. The participants will tally the purchases made without the use of single-use bags in the stores taking part for a six month period, and the community that obtains the highest reduction of disposable bags will win €20,000
Dr Ross Headifen is an active promotor of the issues of plastic waste and what it is doing to our environment. He looks at issues concerning the proliferation of plastic waste and methods to control/reduce it. Including Reduce, Replace, Recycle and a new 4th R for Rejuvenation using landfill biodegradable additives to make plastics fade away.
