South Australian composites manufacturer Sustainable Infrastructure Systems (SIS) has developed structural building panels made from glass fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP) and discarded soft plastics.
It’s a breakthrough in infrastructure construction and environmental sustainability which SIS believes is a world first because it incorporates unprocessed, mixed, post-consumer soft plastics that are blended with proprietary materials and turned into lightweight, high-strength and high-performance structural panels.
