Back in the 80s we had those plastic rings around the 6 pack cans. We had learned what a problem there were for many different reasons and most people got rid of them. Now we have a tubular plastic sleeve on a bottle? Seems like we have not advanced too far in 30 years. Manufacturing priority dominates with no regard for the disposal issues. We have to get past this if we want to have a future environment that resembles our current environment.
Dr Ross Headifen is an active promotor of the issues of plastic waste and what it is doing to our environment. He looks at issues concerning the proliferation of plastic waste and methods to control/reduce it. Including Reduce, Replace, Recycle and a new 4th R for Rejuvenation using landfill biodegradable additives to make plastics fade away.
