Discount department store Target brings back free plastic bags after hundreds of customer complaints – Australia
Posted on October 2, 2013 by DrRossH in Plastic Waste NewsWhat a sad day for Australian environment and an even sadder day to read that some people are so careless about the environment and too lazy to think about bringing their own reusable bag to the store. An action that might take 30 secs of their time? Somehow these same people still have the time to write to Target and complain their lives have been inconvenienced.
We will probably never know but how much will this increase their $136 million in profits by not making pay people for plastic bags now. Making people pay a lowly 10 cents for a plastic bag is probably not the problem their profits are down. Why should the environment suffer for their business problems?
