In Lara, Wollert and Maryvale, plans are progressing to build a trio of sky-high incinerators, which are capable of burning almost 1.5 million tonnes of our kerbside waste annually and harnessing the heat to create energy.
Another two major facilities using a different technology are also set to open in Laverton North and Dandenong South.
