In an industry where disposable is king — Starbucks can go through as many as 2.3 billion disposable cups per year at its 18,000 stores across the globe — Silo stands out as a nearly zero-waste café.
The numbers of plastic coffee cups and their plastic lids used every day in the west are staggering. This was an item we did not have not that long ago. The waste the make and the resources they use for just a few minutes is such a waste and polluting problem. We don’t need them.
