We encourage them to get rid of the plastic bag. They are an environmental blight. The amount of environmental damage they do in various places in the world is considerable from unsightly litter in rivers and trees, to mosquito havens for water trapped in them, to blocked drains and flooding of streets and people houses, to dead wildlife. All for what? For the owner of a plastics company to make more money? A convenient bag to carry some groceries around a for a few minutes? Let’s start to put some sanity back, reusable bags create employment, use local resources, and don’t cause the environmental damage the plastic ones do.
