However sad the underlying fact in the article is, it is true that there is so much hype out there about green products and little to no regulation to ensure it is accurate. The government is providing no leadership on this and in come cases as in Calif at the moment, the State govt have been bought by lobbiests of a large compostable plastics company to twist the laws in favour of their product only, which has been proven time and time again, their product does not biodegrade for all most all consumers.
So are consumers jaded by the advertising hype? Yes we all are and that is going to affect buying decisions for real sustainable products.
