They have made a common mistake. Compostable plastics are only biodegradable in commercial compost facilities. A compostable plastic will not biodegrade in a landfill. It would be an easy assumption that most business once finished with these air packs throw them in the bin where they go to a landfill. So these new packs are not the environmental green product they think they are.
