Melbourne’s best known market will phase out plastic bags, as Coles and Woolies vow to slash use of packaging.
Queen Victoria Market will ban plastic bags, following the lead of our major supermarkets.
As Coles and Woolworths on Monday announced a slew of new measures to slash plastic waste, Queen Victoria Market management said by next year, their goods will no longer be sold in single use plastic bags.
