Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association calls for mandatory use of biodegradable additives
Posted on February 24, 2012 by DrRossH in Plastic Limiting RegulationsThe people of Ghana need to understand degradable (oxo-degradable) additives are not biodegradable otherwise their country could end up in a worse state. Unfortunately the level of understanding of this technology is beyond most peoples education and aggressive salesmen can convince some officials into believing anything some times it seems. Ghana is to be congratulated for considering this when most Western cultures are unable to however. They just need to do their research to select a method to suit their situation not be told what to use. The UAE has made a recent mistake and selected an additive that will cause plastic to fragment all over the place.
