Single-use coffee cups to be ground out by 2026 in Ireland
Posted on March 30, 2022 by DrRossH in Plastic Limiting RegulationsAll non-recyclable coffee cups are set to be banned in Ireland by 2026 under plans by Ossian Smyth, a minister of state with responsibility for the circular economy.
In the Seanad last week, Smyth said: “I expect that, in the same way we banned ten single-use plastic products last July — including plastic forks, knives and straws — we will ban coffee cups altogether within about four years.”
